How much do electric gates cost in Hobart?

Do automatic gates need mains power?

Most automatic swing gates run off 240V mains power. Where running power to the gate is difficult, solar-powered openers are an option. We check what suits your driveway when we measure up.

We build swing gates, including automatic swing gates. They suit most Hobart driveways, and we set them out to allow for slope and the room needed to open.
How do I open an automatic gate?

Remotes are standard. Depending on the opener, you can also add a keypad, an intercom or phone control, so visitors and deliveries can be let in without leaving the house.
Are automatic gates safe around kids and pets?

Automatic gates are installed with safety in mind, including obstruction detection on the opener so the gate stops if something is in the way. We talk through the safety options when we quote.
Can you automate a gate I already have?

Often, yes. If the existing gate and posts are sound and hung correctly, an opener can be fitted. If the gate is sagging or the posts are undersized, we'll tell you straight and quote a replacement instead.
